Thoughts by Robin McGraw
“Things may not always turn out the way you imagined they would, but that’s not the point. The point is to look inside yourself, identify what you need to be happy and put things in motion to secure that happiness.
“It’s one of the oldest sayings around, but I tend to believe that the Lord helps those who help themselves, and I’ve never hesitated to help myself to happiness when it’s available. And it’s available everywhere, if only people would see it. That’s the thing: People don’t see the potential they have for happiness because, on some level, they think they’re as happy as they deserve to be, no matter how unhappy they are. To me, there’s a huge difference between expecting happiness to come to you because you deserve it, and going out and getting the happiness you believe you deserve.
“…I would not live in a loveless marriage or subsist as a second-class citizen….”
