We enter this world, naked and alone, and are cared for, nurtured, and loved by family.
We live to share ourselves (our talents, time, and love) with those we meet along the way.
We don’t “own” anything. We merely “borrow” during our brief visit during this lifetime. We take nothing with us when we are taken from this life.
When our journey ends, sometimes too soon, we leave. Again alone.
Is or was our presence just a memory? A memory, yes, yet much more. We live on in the memories and actions of others, of those whose lives we have touched, in those we have loved and cherished. Our essence lives on in others, as our loved ones share our goodness with others, like the shared flame of a candle passed from one to another at a candle light service.
When our life ends, does our journey end? Our physical presence ends, but our legacy continues here, as we depart and are born again to exist with God and those who have passed before us.
