I Believe ....

After reading an email entitled “Bad American,” I decided to write what I believe.

I believe in God. However, I believe that most organized religion usually has its own agenda. I believe all people have the right to pray to his or her God when and where they want.

I believe in “Intelligent Design” – if for no other reason than the EXTREME order of the universe. As for those who think all of this is just a cosmic accident, I don’t believe they are very intelligent.

I'm proud that 'God' is written on my money.

I believe the United States is the greatest country in the world.

This is America. DON’T make it a socialist country!

I buy American products – when they are good quality and the price is right.

I believe the money I make belongs to me, not some Liberal government, be it Democrat or Republican!

I believe government should protect me, NOT take care of me. I can take care of myself!

I believe ALL lawmakers who voted for a bill they did not read, should be kicked out of office.

I believe lawmakers should have to live under the same “system” as the rest of us. That means Social Security, health care, retirement, etc. Only THEN will they have the incentive to actually “fix” the system. Lawmakers live too much like the pigs in “Animal Farm” where all animals are equal but pigs are a little MORE equal.

I believe ALL lawmakers should have term limits. Our forefathers understood that lawmakers needed limits to restrict their power, and they never intended politicians to make a career out of political office. Benjamin Franklin summed it up the best when he said, "In free governments, the rulers are the servants, and the people their superiors. For the former to return among the latter does not degrade, but promote them."

I believe lawmakers should work within a balanced budget. It is SO naïve to believe there will be no negative repercussions for spending money (like a drunken sailor!) that they DON’T have!

I believe guns don’t kill people, PEOPLE kill people. If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns, and they will have NO difficulty getting them!

I believe homosexuality is NOT a choice. I couldn’t wake up tomorrow morning and decide to be gay and enjoy it!

I believe gay couples should have equal legal rights. I’m not sure about marriage.

I've never owned a slave; and neither have you. I never was a slave; and neither were you!

I believe being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and it does not entitle you to anything. Stop making excuses! Get over it!

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and never the solution.

I believe the cops have the right to pull you over if you're breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

I believe English SHOULD be the official language in the United States. If you don’t want to learn to speak the language, go back to where you came from.

Patronizing minority speaking populations cripples them by inhibiting their assimilation into our culture, which prevents them from advancing in our society. When our ancestors came to this country, they learned the language and assimilated into our culture. That is what made our country great, and that is what made our ancestors successful.

I believe if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, don’t understand English, or don’t know who is running for office, you shouldn’t be voting in our elections!

I believe the MAJORITY should not be discriminated against!

I believe “Affirmative Action” is racist and unconstitutional. It discriminates against the BEST QUALIFIED.

I believe EVERYONE should be treated the same under the law.

I hate most “political correctness.” It usually defies common sense. We should all should try to live by the golden rule.

I believe everyone should be treated with respect, until they prove they don’t deserve it.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making 'donations' to their cause.

Get a job and do your part!

I believe that it doesn't take a village to raise a child, it takes parents.

I believe judges and juries should start using COMMON SENSE and throw out frivolous lawsuits so that society isn’t held hostage in fear of litigation. Lawyers should be PUNISHED when they lose frivolous lawsuits by having to pay ALL legal expenses of the defendant.

I don't hate the rich. I don't pity the poor.

Our country offers everyone opportunity. Our country does NOT guarantee everyone the same results.

WE LIVE IN THE LAND OF THE FREE, ONLY BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE!
