Obama's Campaign Strategy

I keep reading that the Republican party has to change in order to win another election.

Looking at this past election, it was the dirtiest, most mean spirited presidential campaign (by far!) that I can remember.

How did Obama win re-election?

Obama obviously couldn’t run on his failed administration’s record, so he ignored the miserable record and claimed things could be worse, He proposed no new ideas, just more of the same.
He attacked and demonized Romney for being successful and wealthy. He divided the nation into segments and patronized each group – Blacks, Hispanics, females, gays….

Obama's Campaign Strategy

Obama is not only the most divisive president we’ve ever had, he is also a master of diversion. He diverted a very naïve electorate’s attention from the obvious financial crisis that this country faces with the national debt and Social Security to relatively insignificant social issues.

That is like worrying about the dining room dress code aboard the sinking Titanic!

I distrust propaganda put out by both parties, because they both distort the truth and at times just outright lie. But I DO put stock in words that come out of a politician’s mouth.

What follows are exact words spoken by Barack Obama with links to the video clips of him speaking these words.

On Letterman (http://dailybail.com/home/obama-on-letterman-not-sure-how-much-the-debt-is.html), Obama discussed the national debt. He stated, “We had a surplus when Bill Clinton was president.”

The fact is, there was NOT a surplus when Clinton left office. The national debt at that time was five trillion dollars!

When David Letterman asked Obama about the national debt, “Now do you remember what that number was? Was it ten trillion?” Obama answered, “No, I don’t remember what the number was precisely.”

The fact is, the national debt was over sixteen trillion dollars. Was he afraid to say that number?

Obama then added, “We don’t have to worry about it short term. Right now interest rates are low.”

Obama avoided facing THE major problem this country faces.

Ironically, Obama laid out his EXACT 2012 campaign strategy in 2008 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B18lXQDGwpg). He stated, “Because if you don’t have any fresh ideas, then you use stale tactics to scare voters. If you don’t have a record to run on, then you paint your opponent as someone people should run from. You make a big election about small things.”

That is what exactly what Obama did, and 50% of the electorate fell for it!

Unbelievable!
