I read an article about making New Year’s resolutions which consisted of 21 steps. I like to keep things simple (KISS), so from the article I gleaned what I feel are the most important steps.
1. Write down your goals. Be specific so that you have a definite plan. How will you achieve each goal?
2. Limit the number of resolutions. “Less is more.” The more things you have, the less likely you will change.
3. Journal. Note your successes, failures, and thoughts.
4. Set a timetable. The difference between a goal and a dream is a deadline! When will you reach the goal, and how will you get there?
I have limited my resolutions to six:
1. Control my temper
2. Eat more healthy
3. Don’t be negative
4. Exercise daily – walk & some basic exercises
5. Put back everything after using
6. Organize a little each day
